Mine Falls Park, formally dedicated in 1969, is a 325 acre park located near the heart of the City on the Nashua River. The name "Mine Falls" derives from the low quality lead which was mined from the islands below the Falls in the 1700s. A centerpiece of the park is the three-mile long, man-made canal built in the early 1800s to power the Nashua Mills. The park is great for hiking or biking and has 20 miles of multi-use trails.

Directions to the parking lot:

From the Everett Turnpike in Nashua, NH, take exit 6. Turn west on Route 130 (left off the exit if from the south, right if from the north).

You will be on Route 130 for just a very short distance. Pass the Nashua Mall then turn left immediately on Coliseum Avenue. Look for signs to Shop'n Save and Ames because the steet sign for Coliseum Avenue is missing.

Follow Coliseum Avenue to the end and park in the unpaved parking lot.

Welcome to Mines Fall Park.
